Antecedents of Mobile Banking Apps Adoption Among Consumers in Ghana
摘要
In this study, Ghanaian bank customers’ usage of mobile banking apps was investigated. A modified Technological Acceptance Model (TAM) paradigm served as the foundation for a conceptual framework. Nine different hypotheses were created and put to the test using structural equation modeling. Design/Methodology: A convenient sampling technique was employed to select 700 bank customers using the mobile banking app from Kumasi, the Ashanti Region of Ghana. After the initial screening, 450 responses were deemed to be usable out of a total of 554 completed questionnaires received. Results: This study’s findings showed that design and perceived security have a favourable influence on the perceived usefulness and ease of use of mobile banking apps. Additionally, perceived ease of use, social influence, and perceived security risk were discovered to have a significant impact on the intention to embrace mobile banking apps. Originality/Novelty: This study explores mobile banking app adoption in a developing country context, where the study seems sparse.
