摘要

Highly expressed gene scores may predict clinical outcomes. In a 250 patient study the effect of 12 highly expressed gene scores on the summary outcome of the O1 to O4 outcomes were assessed using traditional and regularized regressions. The worst result was obtained by the standardized Traditional regression, the best result by the Ridge with 6 strong and 2 reasonable predictors. The Lasso and the Elastic Net produced respectively 3 and 4 strong predictors, both of them also including two reasonable ones. The unstandardized Traditional regressions provided 6 statistically significant p-values.
