Effect of Five Factors on Body Weight, 217 Patients, Traditional Versus Regularized Regressions
摘要
The effect of five anorexia factors on body weight was assessed, applying Traditional and regularized regression analysis. Both the standardized Traditional regression and two of the regularized regressions, Lasso and Elastic Net, provided a poor correlation five times. The Ridge regularized regression produced a poor correlation four times and a reasonable correlation just once. The unstandardized coefficients of the Traditional regression provided four significant p-values (< 0.001, 0.018, < 0.001 and 0.018) and one insignificant p-value. All of the factors of the significant p-values had poor correlations in the standardized Traditional regression.
