Effect on LDL Cholesterol Reduction of Five Predictors, 953 Patients, Traditional Versus Regularized Regressions
摘要
The effect of five predictors on LDL cholesterol reduction was assessed, applying Traditional and regularized regression analysis. Both the standardized traditional regression and the three regularized regressions provided identical correlation patterns with a poor correlation four times, and a strong correlation only once. The unstandardized coefficients of the Traditional regression provided two significant (< 0.001 and < 0.001) and three insignificant p-values. The factors of the significant p-values had one strong and one poor correlation in the standardized Traditional regression.
