Effect on Body Surface Measured of Gender, Age, Weight, Height, and Weight × Height Interaction, 90 Patients, Traditional Versus Regularized Regressions
摘要
The effect of gender, age, weight, height, and interaction of the latter two, on body surface was tested using Traditional and regularized regression. The worst result from the regression analyses was obtained by the standardized Traditional regression. All of the regularized regressions provided strong correlations all the time. This is probably not only due to strong predictor effects, but also to multicollinearity in the data. The unstandardized Traditional regression produced two very significant p-values, < 0.0001 and < 0.0001, the factors of one which also had a strong correlation in the standardized Traditional regression.
