Kitsch in Law: Aesthetic Focus on Lawyers and Law Firms’ Activities
摘要
The paucity of empirical investigations into the phenomenon of “kitsch” within the realm of legal practice serves as the primary impetus behind this study. It is unequivocal that this phenomenon will remain a focal point for numerous scholars, not only within jurisprudence but also across domains such as politics, human resource management, and management studies, among others. A nuanced comprehension of the diverse manifestations of kitsch within legal and legislative contexts will aid in delineating their potential positive and negative impacts on consumers engaging in kitsch activities, as well as in shaping market dynamics and the evolution of legal services. The research methodology includes a literature review, auto-ethnography, and qualitative examination of lawyers and partners of leading international companies through interviews and surveys. The chapter answers the following research questions: (1) What are the manifestations of kitsch in the internal environment of the legal community? (2) What are the manifestations of kitsch in the relationship of lawyers with clients and the external environment?
