摘要

Diseases of the central nervous system (CNS) are common and best practise guidelines state that the brain should be examined in every autopsy as CNS disease is an important site for cause of death and a major contributor to comorbidity, and to exclude occult disease. This chapter describes the techniques used to eviscerate and examine the brain, spinal cord, eye and ear, and shows examples of major neuropathological lesions.
