Section Introduction “Teaching International Relations Theory in Different Places and Spaces”

  • Jacqui Ala

摘要

Section 5 of the Palgrave Handbook on the Pedagogy of International Relations Theory contains 23 that reflect how International Relations theory is taught in different region of the world. In as much as these chapters present different situational realities and pedagogical priorities as well as practices, the authors all articulate the belief that teaching theory is a vital component of an IR student’s education. Consequently, every author has sought to make theory relevant, accessible, and fun for their students through a variety of innovative practices. Thus, I recommend that readers extend themselves beyond the geographic scope that relates to either their reality or interest and appreciate the myriad of ideas and practices contained in this section of the book.
