Section Introduction “Approaches”

Part IV of the Palgrave Handbook on the Pedagogy of International Relations Theory discusses the different approaches to teaching that animate our classrooms. This includes both the techniques that run throughout an entire course as well as targeted interventions that take place within a single class session. The thirteen chapters in this section discuss a wide variety of approaches to teaching IR theory that may be taken up for use in classes, modified to meet different institutional contexts, or that may serve as inspiration for other creative approaches to teaching.
