摘要

With the rapid progress of science and technology, the development of artificial intelligence (AI) has also embarked on the fast lane, blooming in various fields, injecting vitality and changes into the development of education. Integration of advanced technology into education has put forward higher requirements for learners’ autonomy. Based on the theory of learner autonomy, blended learning, this study constructs a blended learning mode integrated with AI. The role of the learning mode in the development of learner autonomy has been investigated through a quasi-experimental design. The Experimental Group (46 students) was taught using newly-designed learning mode while the Control Group (46 students) was taught in a conventional mode for a period of 12 weeks. Statistical analysis was employed to investigate whether there was significant difference in learner autonomy (metacognitive ability, ability of using resources, and psychological characteristics) before and after the experiment. The findings showed that blended learning mode could improve learner autonomy after 12-week’s learning.
