Evaluating and Prospecting of China Maritime Transport Channel and Port Fulcrum Construction

China proposed The Belt and Road Initiative and accelerating infrastructure connectivity in 2013. Accordingly, it puts forward the requirements of ensuring the safety of global supply chain and sustainable development of transportation in the field of transportation. Therefore, it is very important evaluate and prospect China maritime transport channel and port fulcrum construction. This study comprehensively investigates and analysis the development of China's maritime transport channels and overseas cooperative ports. And then analysis the new environment and new requirements for the development of the future maritime transport channels and cooperative ports. The study provides an important reference for the transportation authorities to clarify the overall idea and key direction of the future channel and fulcrum construction development. Some of the conclusions have been applied to the document issued by the Ministry of transport, as well as making decisions of port and shipping enterprises.
