摘要

Periprosthetic joint infection after total knee arthroplasty is a devastating diagnosis that requires a substantial amount of intricate diagnosis and treatment in order to achieve infection eradication and a desired clinical result. Proper diagnosis, assessment of bone stock, and appropriate treatment implementation are of paramount importance to achieve a functional lower extremity. This chapter reviews the pertinent points in diagnosis and treatment as well as tips and tricks to avoid pitfalls in management.
