Anatomy of the Neonatal Airway
摘要
In this chapter, the neonatal airway is introduced, and its embryology, anatomy, and physiology are explored. The neonatal airway is a delicate and precise structure requiring sophisticated knowledge and instrumentation to care for it. This chapter draws attention to the crucial differences between the infant and adult airway and correlates its unique features with clinical evaluation and treatment. It concludes with a brief overview of evaluation techniques including physical exam, endoscopy, and imaging.
