The aim of this study is to estimate the temperature of deep reservoirs of pilot thermal springs in northern central Algeria by physicochemical parameters. Geological field works and chemical geothermometer have been used to assess the reservoir temperature of the thermal springs in the study area. Chemical parameters from thirteen hot springs were analyzed during a recent fieldwork campaign. Water samples were collected from boreholes to analyze the physicochemical parameter. The surface temperatures of the thermal waters measured in 2022 vary between 44 ℃ and 78 ℃. Sodium was the dominant cation in almost all the samples, and the waters were alkaline. All the thermal waters are appropriate to Na-Cl water type. Geothermal reservoir temperature was calculated using a number of chemical geothermometers, such as cations, silica and SO4–H2O. The Results show that thermal springs presented a discharge temperature varying from 45 to 78 ℃ due to water flow at deeper, very high total dissolved solids (TDS) and the estimated reservoir temperature temperatures ranging from 90 to 110 ℃.

摘要
