The Influence of the Variation in the Tilt Angle of Photovoltaic Panels on the Performance of a Hybrid System
摘要
In order to maximize the electricity production of a photovoltaic installation, the modules should be tilted optimally in order to capture as much solar irradiation as possible. Indeed, photovoltaic panels well positioned in a continuous manner facing this infinite source of energy, the sun, prove to be very important, the optimal angle of incidence of solar irradiation on a photovoltaic module corresponds to an angle of 90°. Every time this angle grow or decline, the surface area of the solar panel exposed to sun rays diminish and therefore the power of the solar panel and consequently the efficiency. The objective of this work is to evaluate the energy benefit (the gain) of the tilt angle correction of photovoltaic modules in a hybrid photovoltaic/ diesel generator system. Photovoltaic panels provide clean and renewable energy during daylight hours, while diesel generators offer a reliable backup during periods of low solar irradiance or high energy demand.
