Mapping Design Computing Research

This paper aims to bring clarity to Design Computing research. By reviewing scientific contributions presented at the conference in over a decade (2010–2022), we have shed light on 1) the goals pursued by researchers in the field, and 2) the design processes that are supported by existing computational systems. Our findings suggest directions for development of design support systems and for modeling design from a computational perspective.
