Interweaving Techniques and Therapeutic Relationship for the Treatment of Personality Disorders
摘要
This chapter examines the interplay between experiential techniques and the therapeutic relationship in treating personality disorders. It emphasizes the importance of tailoring therapeutic approaches to individual patients’ needs, particularly in managing alliance ruptures and facilitating relational repair. The authors discuss the application of techniques like guided imagination, role-playing, and bodily exercises to enhance metacognitive monitoring, emotional regulation, and the rewriting of maladaptive interpersonal patterns. The chapter highlights how these methods can both challenge and strengthen the therapeutic alliance, ultimately contributing to more effective and personalized treatment outcomes.
