Post-Anthropocene Pedagogies: An Introduction

Formal and informal education must begin with the realization that we are living in the Post-Anthropocene, which differs from most scholarship describing humans as a significant geological force destroying the planet. What does it look like to understand that it is too late to prevent catastrophes and the apocalypse? The impacts of climate change necessitate new forms of education while avoiding the complacency of ‘doomerism’ and the naivety of ‘hopeism’.
