In the previous chapters, we discussed the development and properties of bioplastics, which are a promising alternative to conventional plastics derived from fossil fuels. Bioplastics offer numerous environmental benefits, including reduced greenhouse gas emissions and decreased reliance on nonrenewable resources. This chapter explores the diverse range of possible applications for these innovative materials. The global plastic crisis has brought attention to the urgent need for sustainable alternatives to mitigate the detrimental impact of plastic waste on the environment and human health. The deployment of bioplastic material is in different sectors, and their advantages over synthetic-based plastic were highlighted.
