Challenges of Soil Microbiomes and Food Safety
摘要
The serious agricultural issues we currently face pose a threat to the future of global food security. The potential for soil microorganisms to offer economically and environmentally sound remedies may facilitate the introduction of novel techniques to enhance agricultural operations and, in turn, increase crop yields. In addition to examining novel techniques and technologies, the chapter describes the current state of microbial studies. We also share our knowledge of basic studies on the microbiome to help improve our understanding of the movement of microbial communities and how they interact with various plant hosts and the environment. We want to link these strategies to possible uses and consider how to include microbes ecosystems in contemporary farming practices to achieve a more tailored and sustainable utilization of these essential resources.
