Office-Based Blue Laser Therapy for Recurrent Respiratory Papillomatosis
摘要
Recurrent respiratory papilloma (RRP) may occur anywhere in the larynx. Even after effective treatment, it has a higher rate of recurrence; and many patients have had to undergo dozens of surgical procedures. RRP should be biopsied to determine viral type and be certain that there is no substantial precancerous or cancerous change. However, small lesions and early recurrences can be managed well using blue laser in an office setting, without the need for repeated general anesthesia.
