Office-Based Blue Laser Therapy for Vocal Fold Polyps

Vocal fold polyps are common benign lesions that can cause dysphonia by mass effect and other means. They also can cause vocal fold scar that may lead to permanent dysphonia. Typically, they have been treated in the operating room under general anesthesia with cold instruments. However, blue laser therapy in an office setting can be safe and very effective for selected lesions.
