Rare Applications of Office-Based Blue Laser Therapy

The blue laser is a hybrid laser with dual properties, cutting and photo-angiolysis. Its effect on tissue is determined mostly by the distance to target, divergence of the laser beam, and duration of exposure [1]. Its application in laryngology is not limited to the treatment of benign and premalignant structural abnormalities of the vocal folds [2]. This chapter describes rare application of the blue laser in an office-setting.
