Blockchain and Cloud Security—A Review

Cloud computing is proven to be e very useful and favorable tool for all sort of business or work. Due to it elasticity and the flexibility to pay as you go, the extend where you can share data everywhere at any time as well as provide a whole range of services, make it a great tool for any business. Yet this also come with a risk, not only the problem of a single point of failure, but the complexity of its infrastructure, the lack of visibility and the increase of attack surface. It is because of security concerns that experts have been looking a way to resolve the issue. Blockchain is a new technology that because of its nature provide decentralization and highly secure environment where every transaction is immutable as well as good cryptography to secure the data. This project proposes to look at the cloud security issues and how they can be resolved with blockchain technology and do a review of the solutions and provide recommendations accordingly. In the end we provide relevant findings regarding the state of cloud security and blockchain and recommendations as for what potential solutions.
