摘要

Experimental results are presented here, derived from an approach to the objective evaluation of task performance within Extended-Reality (XR) interactive environments. The experimental methodology is outlined, developed, and exercised within the domain of Neurosurgical Navigation and Planning within XR environments. Comparative results are presented for headsets such as the Quest 3 and HoloLens 2, developed using Unreal Engine 5, within the context of baseline measures from desktop VR displays associated with Neuro-Navigational systems used within the Operating Room. It is within this context that extensions for OR 2.0, (the “operating room of the future”), are made within the discussion of results.
