Development and Evaluation of a Prototype for an Automated Waste Management System Using LiDAR Technology and Arduino-Based Parallel Processing
摘要
In this study, we introduce an innovative waste management system that leverages Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) technology and parallel processing via Arduino boards to automate waste handling. The prototype encompasses automatic lid opening, waste level detection, and a web-based monitoring environment, aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and promoting hygienic waste disposal practices. Preliminary evaluations demonstrate the system’s efficacy in waste level monitoring and user interaction. This paper details the design, implementation, and potential impacts of the system on smart city waste management infrastructures.
