摘要

Wood welding is a new way of joining wooden elements without the use of glue. This is realized with the help of the heat generated as a result of the friction of the wood and the corresponding pressure on the joint. Friction itself can be achieved by vibration or rotation. During the welding of wood, a chemical-physical process takes place, the surface layers of the wood that are in contact are softened. It is a consequence of the pressure and heat that occurs due to the friction of the wooden elements. On the surfaces of the joint, the submicroscopic structure of the wood is destroyed, and the density of the wood increases, because the wood cells are destroyed and compacted. The paper presents the results of our research on the influence of the direction of penetration of plugs on the extraction forces. The welding parameters for joint strength were analyzed by experimental research. Test results were subjected to adequate statistical analysis.
