Experimental Testing of the Resistance of Low-Alloy Carbon Steel by Low-Cyclic Fatigue
摘要
Research within this paper aimed to analyze the influence of dynamic loads on the resistance of low-alloy carbon steel A516 Gr.70. The behavior of low-alloy carbon steel A516 Gr.70 at different temperatures under the conditions of dynamic loading was done by low-cycle fatigue to determine the cyclic characteristics of the material. The obtained values of cyclic characteristics of the material by testing at temperatures of 20 °C, −40 °C, and 400 °C were used to determine the cyclic stress-strain curve and the basic curve of low cyclic fatigue life under conditions of controlled deformation, with the ratio of minimum and maximum deformation Rε = −1. Analyzing the obtained results, it can be seen that the test temperature has a dominant effect on the obtained values of low-cycle fatigue parameters. The obtained test results and their analysis give a practical contribution to assessing the quality of materials, and then the influence of operating conditions on their behavior under the action of variable loads.
