Introduction

There are a number of excellent books presenting the forcing method in set theory; nonetheless, I decided to add my own approach to the topic: in my opinion not enough attention has been brought in the current literature to the presentation of the forcing method by means of boolean valued semantics. This is the approach to forcing pursued in the present book.
