摘要

In response to the complex and growing cybersecurity challenges facing urban environments, this thesis presents a new approach—the square mile method—to enhance digital defense capabilities. Digital urban frontlines. The research objectives are multifaceted, including comprehensive analysis of cyber threats, identifying vulnerabilities in key sectors such as transportation and utilities, and developing innovative defense strategies. A key aspect of this effort is the integration of cutting-edge technologies, a critical review of existing policies, and the promotion of community collaboration to create a flexible, well-designed cybersecurity framework. Separate design for each designated urban square mile. This study explores the ever-changing cyber threat landscape in urban areas, considering elements like the growing reliance on digital technologies, the interconnectedness of vital services, and the ever-changing strategies used by cybercriminals. Public safety, economic stability, and urban resilience are all touched upon as potential outcomes of cyber events. Finally, an excellent framework for comprehending and resolving cybersecurity issues in urban settings is the square mile approach. Cities may improve their cyber resilience and make sure essential infrastructure keeps working even when cyber threats change by pinpointing specific weaknesses and adjusting defensive measures appropriately.
