摘要

The Internet of Things represents a system of devices linked to each other, using the internet to facilitate communication, creating a scenario where ordinary objects have the capability to share information. However, the inherent characteristics of IoT devices, lacking extensive computational power, resources, and sophisticated internet protocols, render them more susceptible to security threats compared to traditional internet-connected devices. To address these vulnerabilities and ensure robust security, the integration of Blockchain technology emerges as a promising solution. Blockchain, renowned for its encryption methods, consensus algorithms, and distributed ledger, offers a unique set of characteristics that can enhance the security posture of IoT systems. This paper provides an overview of recent advancements in the past five years regarding the utilization of Blockchain approaches to enhance security in IoT systems. The aim is to furnish researchers in this domain with an updated understanding of the current state of the field. Additionally, the paper categorizes these works based on the type of Blockchain employed, the defended attacks, as well as the consensus algorithm and encryption method utilized in these approaches.
