The Importance of the Bioeconomy in Green Deal

摘要

The economic and technological developments that occured all over the world in recent years have brought along many new structures. Especially the threat of resource depletion due to the increase in environmental problems has revealed the importance of the concept of sustainability. Thus, all developments have started to be shaped around the concept of sustainability. In this context, with the bioeconomy, which is envisaged as an indicator of the development of countries, it is aimed to contribute to the national economy by protecting and effectively utilizing resources and producing high added value with the help of technology. In addition, while seeking solutions to minimize the effects of climate change, which is effective in changing the world order, important regulations are being introduced within the idea of the European Green Deal. The first goal is to be guide for the environment and use resources effectively in all activities from production to transportation. In this context, the bioeconomy will play an important role in the restructuring of the world economy within the framework of the Green Deal. Since the bioeconomy’s production of high value-added products by utilizing waste is effective in protecting the environment, it will contribute in every field from green production to green technology. Therefore, there is a need for bioeconomy activities in the circular economy in the new world order.
