This article explores renewable energy development in Sweden and Ukraine through multifactor regression analysis, focusing on institutional and investment factors influencing renewable energy adoption. In Sweden, strong correlations are found between foreign direct investments and the share of renewable energy consumption, reflecting successful transition efforts. Conversely, Ukraine demonstrates growth potential, with energy imports significantly impacting renewable energy utilization. The analysis underscores the importance of institutional support and investment initiatives in driving renewable energy development. Moreover, it highlights the critical intersection between energy and national security, emphasizing the role of renewable energy in enhancing energy independence and resilience. Overall, the study provides insights into the challenges and opportunities faced by both countries in their transition towards sustainable energy sources, contributing to global efforts to combat climate change and achieve sustainable development goals.
