Conversational AI in Primary Education in Rural Setup: A Teacher Perspective

The study investigates the use of conversational artificial intelligence (AI) in the education sector in developing countries. It attempts to understand the process that goes behind conversational AI in its simplest form which is also important for the teacher to use such a tool effectively. Alternatively, the study also aims to find out the perspective of the teachers who are playing the role of an enabler for using such technology in the classroom. For this study, both primary and secondary sources were used to draw references concerning the use of conversational AI in rural areas of India which is a strong representative of third-world countries. In this study, the perceived value of conversational AI for instructors was ascertained, and the resulting themes were studied to understand the perspective of the teachers which is important for further emancipation of the technology amongst the masses.
