摘要

The study aimed identify the degree of availability of patriarchal leadership styles among academics et al. Sharqiya University in the Sultanate of Oman, the study used the descriptive analytical method, and the questionnaire as a tool by applying it to a simple random sample of (390) male and female students, the study reached the:The degree of availability of the patriarchal leadership dimensions among academic professors at A’Sharqiyah University was a high degree of availability in the axes of benevolent leadership and authoritarian leadership. As for ethical leadership, most of its expressions came in the middle degree, which proves the availability of patriarchal leadership and its practice by academic professors, as for the arrangement of leadership styles. The patriarchy came as follows: The first rank: authoritarian leadership with an arithmetic mean of (4.11) The second rank is benevolent leadership (3.83) The third rank is ethical leadership (3.27), the study also confirmed that there are no statistically significant differences in the dimensions of patriarchal leadership (benevolent leadership, ethical leadership, authoritarian leadership) according to the responses of the study sample, due to the variable of academic years of students, which confirms the practice of patriarchal leadership at the university.
