Articles 19, 37, and 39 provide a cluster of provisions that address the right of children to protection from all forms of violence and abuse, and to rehabilitative help if those rights are violated or neglected.Article 19 establishes unequivocally that no form of violence against a child is acceptable, and that children have a fundamental human right to protection and to respect for their dignity and integrity in all settings, whether at home, in school, in institutions, or in detention. The Committee has been clear that this prohibition extends to all forms of corporal punishment.
