This chapter looks at business processes in the context of Digital Transformation. First, business processes are introduced. Then, examples are given of typical business processes in industrial organisations. Examples are given of the activities within these business processes. Process mapping is described. An example is given of business activities in one particular organisation. The importance of process mapping is highlighted.
