This chapter addresses typical differences between the Digital Transformation activities of organisations in different industry sectors. There are so many of these that it wouldn’t be appropriate to apply the same Digital Transformation approach in all organisations. Instead, each organisation has to find an approach that fits its needs and circumstances. The approach is likely to include a cross-functional organisation-wide program. The Digital Transformation of an organisation will affect many of its functions and be expected to lead to benefits in many functions. As a result, it should be addressed with a cross-functional, organisation-wide Digital Transformation Program, run with a Project Management approach.
