An Overview of Evidence-Based Occupational and Physiotherapy for Children with Cerebral Palsy
摘要
This chapter focuses on school-aged children and adolescents and is presented in two parts. The first part introduces the foundational principles and practices for occupational and physiotherapy for children with cerebral palsy. The second part provides an overview of evidence-based interventions that aim to optimise participation outcomes, build activity competenceActivity competence or minimise body structure or function impairments of children with cerebral palsy. The strength of evidence is in the surveillance to minimise the effect of impairments and intense delivery of goal-focused, activity-based interventions to promote activity performance. There is also a growing body of evidence supporting participation-focused interventions to improve participation outcomes as well as build skills.
