Integrated Simulation to Evaluate Hydrogen Deployment Strategies

摘要

There are increasing tendencies to deploy hydrogen in municipalities and communities as part of energy transition . This paper presents a synthesis of different deployment strategies and scenarios based on the load profile and user requirements in the underlying region. An integrated framework is developed to evaluate deployment options using energy semantic network and hybrid energy system. A lifecycle analysis tool called NR-HESS or Nuclear-Renewable Hybrid Energy System Simulator is used to evaluate penetration and integration of energy mix options in view of user requirements and deployment conditions. SWITCH model is used to evaluate the hydrogen coupling with water networks as integrated with energy systems and infrastructures. Matlab and HOMER are used to optimize different alternatives based on key performance indicators for different applications and communities.
