摘要

The development of GEBs has gained momentum through the integration of cutting-edge insulation technologies. Notable advancements, such as the remarkable U-value of 0.45 Wm−2K−1 achieved by LandVac’s vacuum glazing (LandGlass), surpassing the performance of single glazing by over 12 times, and the groundbreaking thermal conductivity value of 2.5 mWm−1K−1 for a 30 mm thick vacuum insulation panel by Jiangsu Sanyou Dior, which outperforms a 200 mm thick glass mineral wool insulation board by more than 17 times, have demonstrated the potential for rapid progress in the GEB domain. These innovations hold the key to minimizing heat loss and cooling requirements through windows, walls, roofs, and floors, thereby enabling GEBs to generate surplus energy from photovoltaic and wind turbine systems during specific climatic conditions. This transformative potential indicates the possibility of a paradigm shift in building design and construction, ushering in energy-efficient and environmentally responsible structures. The installation of such insulation technologies at a mass level has the capacity to redefine the architectural landscape and contribute to a more sustainable and energy-efficient built environment.
