Сlimаtе Сhаngе Іmpасt on Есоnоmiсal Еffiсiеnсу of Lеgumіnоus Сrоps Prоduсtіоn in thе Kаzаkhstаn

The article examines the problem of the impact of climate change on the economic efficiency and prospects for the production of legumes in Kazakhstan. Climate change affects the instability of legume cultivation and leads to a decrease in the economic efficiency of production. According to the research results: the average production area was 112.63 hectares, production volume - 961,192.91 kg, yield per hectare - 8534.07 kg. The average harvest price was $0.080/kg, the average cost of production per hectare was $222.18. The results yielded an average efficiency of 0.74 under the assumption of constant returns to scale and 0.95 under the assumption of variable returns to scale. DEA method was used to analyze the resource use efficiency of pulses production. DEA analyzed data associated with the CRS and VRS models. By modeling costs, target results can be achieved with minimal use of input resources. It has been established that the most important criterion for farmers when choosing and using resources of leguminous crops cost.
