Global warming is defined as a rise in the average temperature of the Earth's surface caused by elevated amounts of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. Carbon dioxide (CO2) is one of the greenhouse gases emitted by living beings, including humans. Growth can absorb CO2 through photosynthesis, distributing it throughout the body or storing it. The Marine Science Techno Park (MSTP) is a mangrove (wetland) region operated by Diponegoro University in partnership with the Jepara government in the Awur Bay area. The goal of this study is to determine the potential for carbon stocks in the Awur Bay MSTP Area of Jepara by analyzing the value of tree biomass and litter. This activity will take place at MSTP, TelukAwur, Jepara. The procedure is carried out by collecting biomass data in the MSTP region by creating a plot of 10m x 10m for tree biomass and 1m x 1m for litter, then measuring and assessing potential carbon reserves in the area. According to studies, the average total tree biomass was 74.14 tons/ha and litter was 1.26 tons/ha, with an estimated carbon stock in the MSTP region of 35.84 tons/ha. The anticipated carbon stock in the MSTP is moderate, but this must be considered so that the capacity of mangroves to store carbon stock does not diminish in the future.
