摘要

The rapid demand for technological advancement results in the production of a massive amount of end-of-life products. However, these products have become one of the most important resources for precious metals. One of these important waste products is electronic waste. It’s possible to recover a variety of essential metals from electronic waste, including rare earth metals, cobalt, indium, and precious metals such as silver, copper, and gold. This paper discusses the current status of electronic waste, its valorization, management, and the most recent technological advancements in electronic waste metal recovery. Recycling valuable metals is a crucial practice that has garnered immense interest in the realm of eco-friendly technologies. These recycling technologies’ benefits and potential effects on the environment are also being thoroughly discussed. Future promotions still face a few obstacles, though. Several factors and recommendations are also being proposed to create a sustainable and circular economy, it is crucial that we implement efficient methods for recycling valuable metals with a high retrieval rate. By doing so, we can not only preserve valuable resources, but also reduce waste and promote a healthier planet for future generations.
