Brief History of Metallic Glasses

This chapter surveys the historical evolution of metallic glasses and their processing technology development. These two aspects belong in the same chapter, because the discovery of metallic glasses with ever higher glass forming abilities has always been accompanied by the development of manufacturing techniques developed ad hoc for their preparation.
