Introduction
摘要
Bulk metallic glass (BMG) are regarded as pioneering materials for structural or functional applications due to their interesting properties, some of which go far beyond those of conventional crystalline alloys. Their outstanding mechanical strength and elasticity alone illustrate the technological relevance of metallic glasses. For example, they have an exceptionally high strength, which can reach up to several GPa depending on the alloy system and can withstand elastic tensile strains of 2% before yielding [1]. Of particular interest are the iron-rich BMG-forming compositions, which have hardness values of around 800 HV1 and high corrosion resistance as well as exceptional soft magnetic properties with an intrinsic coercive force of almost zero and an extremely high magnetic permeability of 1.3 H/m [2].
