In this chapter, we illuminate how the learning process in the initial phase of studies can be individualized through digital enrichment. To do this, we first summarize the results of a study on the concept of Computer Based Learning in Classroom (CBL). CBL, as defined in [5, 7], is a Blended Learning concept which addresses the heterogeneity of prior knowledge by allowing students to work independently in a highly structured digital learning environment under face-to-face guidance. Furthermore, we show how the enrichment of CBL with E-Assessments affects learning success. Finally, we delve into our current project of further individualizing the CBL concept. We offer the students adaptive tests that select test questions based on the students’ ability level and investigate the usage and acceptance behavior of students regarding this technological innovation. In sum, we show that CBL is a flexible, digitally enriched didactic concept that allows universities to better serve the needs of their students.

摘要
