The great challenge for the University is ensuring all society segments can catch up to the progressing technology. This study aims to explore the various barriers and driving forces that prevent Industrial Revolution 4.0 from being implemented in education. Through a research methodology based on secondary data, the study also explored the implementation of Industrial Revolution 4.0 within the education context, e.g., scientific papers, academic articles, magazines, paper articles, books, and online journals. The most common benefits of the Industry Revolution 4.0 education system were identified and categorized under five dimensions: practical opportunities (learning based), improving the effectiveness of the teaching and learning processes, improving the effectiveness of the processes producing more innovative lecturers, and increasing technological literacy among lecturers and students.
