Neurosurgery has dramatically benefitted from technological advancements and scientific breakthroughs. In this chapter, we will discuss the future of neurosurgery in 20 years’ time, assessing how artificial intelligence, robotics and alternative therapies will impact neurosurgical patients in the future. The success of these innovations being translated into clinical practice will heavily rely on financial support and prolonged research commitment from clinicians. We will also delve into the far future, predicting the landscape of neurosurgery in the early twenty-second century.
