Medical ChatGPT
摘要
The emergence of Chat Generative Pre-trained Transformer (ChatGPT) in the last few weeks of 2022 created a significant mixed response all over the world. ChatGPT is a double-edged sword. The introduction of ChatGPT in medicine teaching, learning, and practice has great potential and benefits; however, there are significant risks and fears. The system is still in the process of development; it may change traditional medical learning and practice beyond expectation. ChatGPT program is trained or programmed to answer and effectively respond to a wide range and varieties of questions in any field according to previously stored data in that program. It is envisaged to be programmed to be able to solve medical and medical educational problems. There are important and valid considerations that should be carefully studied before the implementation of this system/program in medical practice and education such as the following: We are hereby presenting our conversation with ChatGPT about the benefits and risks of implementing such a program/system in medical practice and education. Hence, the aims of this chapter are to (1) provide insights and forecasts into the trends in artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) in healthcare; (2) attract the attention of medical professionals to the pros and cons of ML technology and AI in particular; and (3) answer some of the nagging questions and raise a flag by presenting the potential risks and benefits of developing such an advanced artificial intelligence program. As we wanted to be specific and focus on the use of ChatGPT in medical fields and education, we named the ChatGPT which is used in medicine as a Clinical or Medical ChatGPT.
